No No Hair Removal Reviews: One User’s Experience

I'm going to go out on a limb and say I speak for most women, and a lot of men, when I say that getting rid of unwanted body hair can be a huge pain. Shaving seems to be the method most of us choose, because even though it's messy and we have to do it all the time to maintain smooth skin, it's still typically the most convenient method. It's cheap, easy, pain-free as long as you know what you're doing, and you can do it in the comfort of your own home. There are other options for more long-term hair removal, but until very recently I haven't found any that have met all of those criteria. I was actually doing some research online about razors and shaving cream, and I somehow stumbled upon some No No Hair Removal reviews. It's a little device, about the size of a razor, and it promises to give you the SMOOTH SKIN OF SHAVING, BUT FOR MONTHS, due to the way it affects the hair. I was able to get a 60-day free trial offer, so I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a spin.

Not Another Hair-Pulling Device

If you've experimented with other hair removal products that have been on the market, as I have, you've probably tried a device that makes similar promises, and works by basically ripping your hair out. It's pretty painful, and I doubt many people use those products very long at all. Thankfully, the No No is built on completely different technology, called Thermicon. Basically, a hot wire  inside a little handheld device burns your hair off, but also sends the heat through the follicle to the root. This actually causes a disruption in the cells that sort of confuse your hair, so it takes a lot longer to grow back, and the hair that grows back is thinner. As far as I know, this is the only device of its kind.

After basically throwing some money away in the past on products that didn't live up to the hype, I have a hard time believing a lot of what I hear from companies trying to sell me something.  If it sounds sounds incredible, I'm incredulous.  Get this, though: a study in the Journal of Drugs and Dermatology actually confirms, with real, hard science, that the No No works.  It's also the winner of the customer-voted Best Product of the Year Award USA®.

Like A Shave That Lasts For Months

The instructions that come with the No No recommend using is two or three times a week to start with. Honestly, when I first read that, I had an impulse to send it back; I can shave with that kind of time investment!

The effect is cumulative, though, so with each use, less hair grows back, and it takes a longer time to do so.

I noticed that a lot of the users who wrote No No Hair Removal reviews recommended using it every day in the beginning. It's safe to use, so I started using it daily after a couple weeks of the officially recommended schedule, and I did see results a lot faster. Once you get into the swing of things, and your body hair has been receiving regular doses of Thermicon heat, you'll find that the hair doesn't grow back for a long time. I usually go a couple of months before I feel I need another treatment, and it takes less time than it did when I started.

As you keep using the No No, the results get more and more dramatic.  The first time I used it, it burnt the hair off the surface, but then it just seemed to grow back in like before.  After a few more uses, I could see, plain as day, that the hair that was coming back really was more sparse, and even looked like the hairs themselves were thinner.  This continued, and less and less hair grew back, in longer and longer periods of time.  It was practically like magic!

This Won't Hurt A Bit, For Anyone!

Using the No No feels a little bit like shaving with heat. It's not an uncomfortable heat, so the device does deliver on its promise of smooth skin WITHOUT ANY PAIN AT ALL! I'd rank it as more comfortable than shaving since you don't have the potential for those annoying little nicks you sometimes give yourself when your razor is getting dull. Also, the No No works differently than laser treatment, targeting the hair directly and not the melanin, meaning you can use the No No on any skin type without the risk of burning.

I have a friend who has tried unsuccesfully, a couple of times, to get laser hair removal treatments.  She's tried going to clinics and salons, and even experimented with the home lasers on the market, the Tria and Silk'n SensEpil.  For her, it's always the same story: her skin is too dark, and the treatments would be dangerous because of all the light she would absorb.

Another awesome thing about the No No is that because it uses heat, not light, it is safe for everyone to use.

Just Roll It Along

The No No is very easy to use. It's comparable to shaving: you simply move the device along your skin. It has a built in roller for easy movement, and a green light will tell you if you're moving it at the right speed. After you do that, you use the included buffer to dust the burnt hair off of your skin. It comes with a couple different Thermicon tips, to make it easier to reach hair in different areas. I usually use my No No while I'm watching TV or talking on the phone.

If you know about the two hair removal lasers I mentioned a couple paragraphs ago, you'll know that these and the No No are pretty much the only respected and proven-to-be-effective home hair removal products on the market.  I think the No No may be one of the best choices in large part because it is the smallest, and therefore the easiest to use on small, difficult areas.  Since I planned on using it on my face and bikini line, I figured this was the unit for me.  (I also like that it's actually approved for use on nearly every part of the body, unlike the lasers).

I had read in other No No Hair Removal reviews that there is something of a burning hair stink when you use this thing, so I braced myself for it when I first started using it.  In all honesty, the smell is much less offensive than I thought it would be, and is very easily covered just by lighting some candles or turning on a fan and opening the window.

Totally Worth It

After my trial expired, I bought the unit for 3 payments of just under 90 bucks. Compared to laser treatments, which require multiple expensive appointments, that's an absolute steal; if you're used to shaving, though, it might seem like a lot of money to shell out. You have to ask yourself, though, how much is your time worth? It doesn't seem like it takes too long to shave, but you have to do it often, and that time really adds up. And who hasn't been late for something because we took too long to get ready? It's worth it to me to be able to cut this kind of self maintenance out of my schedule, especially during the warm months. Summer isn't too far off, and I'm glad to know how little time I'll have to waste shaving.

So What's The Catch?

I've read couple of No No Hair Removal reviews from people angry that their hair grew back after a few months.  Look: this isn't permanent hair-removal, it's just very long term hair removal.  I really don't think this is a real complaint, and if you know what you're getting into from jump, you're not going to be dissapointed.

There are two obvious, actual downsides to using the No No, both of which are pretty greatly outweighed by the benefits. The first downside is that when you're just beginning your treatments, you're going to have to spend a lot of time using this thing. You'll spend at least as much time as you would shaving when you first get started, but with time and more use, you have to use it less and less.

The other downside is the smell. If you're not into the fine aroma of burning hair, you might want to burn a candle or light some incense. Like I said, it's not really that bad, but not unnoticeable, either. I've also found that as less hair grows back, there's much less odor when I use my No No.

The No No isn't officially recommended for use on the breasts and genitals, though I'm sure that won't stop everybody.  It's honestly a very minor drawback, since most people aren't looking for that, and the product is still approved for more areas than its competitors.

My Verdict

I went into this not knowing exactly what to expect, but figuring I would give it a shot, at least. I had an idea of what to expect from reading so many No No Hair Removal reviews, but I was frankly surprised by how well it worked. If you're looking for a new way to get rid of body hair, the No No is one of the best options currently on the market. It's affordable, simple to use, and offers the smooth skin of shaving, but will take up much less of your time.

Well, if you consider how much you’d spend on waxing, laser treatments, depilatory creams, or even just on shaving cream and razors in the long run, the No No is a serious bargain!
